Simplify Your Meals!

Last week on the True Body Beauty Fitness Group page, I shared some of my everyday meals with you.

I wanted to give everyone a real life model of what my “eating well” actually looks like.

I tend to keep things extremely simple – I don’t get too fancy with my meals, but I choose foods that I enjoy eating.

Here is a quick video of one of my meals for the kiddos and me.

Quick.

Easy.

Simple.

Healthy.

I know that sometimes thinking about eating healthy every single day can become overwhelming. But, the last thing I desire for you all is stress over eating well.

I want this to be a lifestyle habit that just comes naturally.

So, here are some of my tips and tools to help keep eating well simple!

  • Don’t bring foods that don’t contribute to your healthful lifestyle into the house.
  • Utilize services and tools that make eating well easier for you. Here are a few:
  • DoortoDoorOrganics.com – this is a new tool for me. They have a special going on this week! Door to Door Organics
  • NatureBox.com
  • Peapod.com
  • Meal replace with an IsaLean Shake
  • Spend 30 minutes each week to chop and portion snacks to grab quickly on the go.
  • Spend 30 minutes – 1 hour a week cooking and meal planning for the week.
  • Don’t eat foods you don’t enjoy! You don’t have to, ya know. Create meals around foods you like to eat.
  • Anticipate hunger and be ready for it by meal prepping.
  • Prioritize meal prepping (are you catching on to my meal prep vibe yet?). Make time for it and make it important.
  • Eating out? Identify restaurants ahead of time that serve foods within your healthy eating plan. One of my favorites is Chipotle!
  • Find a few “indulgences” that you can prepare that are still healthy, but satisfy your sweet tooth. Something like this!

Avocado Fudge Brownies

Eating well should not be stressful. It should eventually become a habit, but you can make it simple and enjoyable along the way!
